Camel race. Day of joy for young tuaregs. Just another day for policemen coming from the north of Algeria. As most of people are happy to hit the road and go down south, for the “green and blue” boys, it’s a punition, just like going to Siberia during the soviet period.

Invited in a small house. 45° outside. We talk with old tuaregs, unhappy of what’s happening to their culture in the south of Algeria. They argue and as the words are getting stronger, behind me, a man begins to play tazamart (traditional flute made of reed or metal).
